The World Cup has not started yet, but in the final stretch of preparation for the participating teams, a great goal shook social media this Saturday, due to the great technique of its execution, in the friendly match between the United States and Germany. 

The United States already showed its capacity and laid its cards on the table in the duel against the Germans, with a great goal scored by Antonee Robinson, in the 37th minute of the first half.

The goal came after a corner kick, Germany gave a dangerous rebound and on the edge of the area Robinson appeared to unleash a tremendous left-footed shot, without letting the ball drop, to put it in the top corner, impossible for the German goalkeeper. 

The goal meant a partial 1-1 draw in the friendly match. Afterwards, the Germans, who had started winning with a goal from Kai Havertz, increased the score with a goal from Leroy Sané. 

In the end, the German national team won 1-2 in their last preparatory friendly match before the start of the Fifa World Cup 2026, scheduled for next June 11. The match, played before a full Soldier Field in Chicago, was characterized by high competitive intensity and moments of tension on the field of play. 

Antonee Robinson is an American footballer who plays as a defender for Fulham F.C. in the English Premier League. He is 28 years old and has also played for teams like Everton and Wigan in English football. 

Robinson is one of the players called up by Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino, for the United States, for the World Cup. His goal has drawn great praise on social media, where the video is going viral.

Thus, the Americans show their weapons to face the tournament in which they will be one of the hosts. The United States is in Group D along with Paraguay, Australia, and Turkey. Their debut will be against Paraguay, on June 12. 

Germany, for its part, is in Group E, with Curaçao, Ivory Coast, and Ecuador. Forward Lennart Karl will miss the 2026 World Cup after suffering a muscle tear in the German national team’s last training session in the United States. German coach Julian Nagelsmann called up Assan Ouédraogo in place of the Bayern Munich youth player.
