América de Cali closed the sixth round of the League as leader, now followed by the surprising Llaneros, who caused an upset by winning away against Deportivo Pasto, which remains in crisis.
A solitary goal by Frank Castañeda left José Luis García’s team in second place on the table, with 11 points.
At El Campín, Atlético Nacional managed to come back against Fortaleza, who made them suffer in the first half. Lucas González’s team won 1-2.
Meanwhile, Deportivo Cali could not hold a two-goal lead against Internacional de Bogotá, who took a point from Palmaseca. And at the end of the day, Junior remains winless after achieving their bicampeonato: they agonizingly saved a draw against Once Caldas (1-1).
Violence marred the 6th round of the League
Saturday’s round in the BetPlay League left a very bitter taste due to the acts of violence that marred the match between Santa Fe and América de Cali at El Campín, a 0-0 that left David González’s team confirmed at the top of the championship. It was also sad for Medellín fans, the return of Juan Fernando Quintero after eight years: the ‘Poderoso’ fell 0-1 against Cúcuta Deportivo.

On Friday, in Montería, Jaguares achieved their first win of the semester, a key result for their intention to remain in the first division. The 1-0 victory against Chicó leaves them in 18th place in the average table, which would give them at least one more season in the A.
The only goal of the match was scored by Rafael Bustamante, in the 10th minute, by anticipating the defense with a soft touch after a corner kick by Cristian Álvarez.
Pereira earned a draw before going on strike
