Does Angie Rodríguez have information that could sink Juliana Guerrero and other Petro government pawns in a new investigation for ideological falsehood?
After reaching a judicial agreement with the Prosecutor’s Office and avoiding going to jail for forging her university degrees, Juliana Guerrero recorded a video in which she continued to give her version of her role in the Petro government. And, just as she did before a judge, she continued to absolve responsibilities.
Indeed, in her ‘apology’ to the country and society, she read aloud the names of the board members of the San José University Foundation – the one that issued the false degrees – whom she took care to absolve of any responsibility. And in the video she posted on her social networks, she continued with a similar exercise.

Neither guerrilla nor queen

For people close to the case, it is clear that the apology Guerrero read was strategically structured to absolve some people of responsibility. Even so, due to the referral the judge in her case made for her to be investigated for ideological falsehood in a public document, Guerrero herself will now have to explain how she contacted San José, who prepared the resume with false information, and who uploaded it to official platforms to try to have her appointed Deputy Minister of Youth, although Petro denies it.
“I have been called everything everywhere. And the worst is that they got involved with my family,” Guerrero said in her new statement.
And the young woman, who was introduced to society by then-president Petro during a cabinet meeting in January 2025, added: “Congressmen or people who have dignity referred to me as ‘the queen,’ ‘the beloved,’ and even used my privacy during the campaign to gain votes, and today they are conspicuously absent,” she said without giving specific names.
On that subject, she added: “There is something I have to tell the country, and that is that I did not have to seduce any man to get where I got.”

The Angie Rodríguez factor

However, EL TIEMPO’s Investigative Unit established that Angie Rodríguez, Petro’s former right hand, will be key in the second judicial chapter.

The former head of Dapre has information on who ordered the resume with false data to be uploaded despite her warning that it was impossible for Guerrero to graduate in a couple of months.
Rodríguez also knows what was behind the movements of Guerrero and her sister Verónica on Police planes. And how a scheme from the National Protection Unit (UNP), with armored cars, was provided to her.
In fact, Rodríguez will be requested to be heard in a statement to determine if more people should be investigated within the potential new process.
