Colombia installed 37 hospitals among the 105 evaluated by IntelLat in its Ranking of the Best Hospitals and Clinics in Latin America 2026. Beyond the general quality list, the consultancy separately ranked the performance of these institutions in eight specialties: Oncology, Cardiology, Pediatrics, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Neurology, Pulmonology, Orthopedics and Traumatology, and Endocrinology and Diabetology.
The result confirms Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá as the most consistent Colombian institution: it leads the national ranking in Gynecology and Obstetrics, Neurology, Pulmonology, Orthopedics and Traumatology, and Endocrinology and Diabetology, and ranks second in Cardiology and Pediatrics. In Oncology, it is the best Colombian and sixth in the entire region.

Oncology: 13 Colombian hospitals among the top 35
This is the specialty with the greatest Colombian presence in the region: 13 institutions from the country are among the top 35 in Latin America. The national top:

How is the ranking made?
The IntelLat Ranking is built with quantitative and qualitative data provided by the institutions themselves, analyzed and validated by the consultancy team through a questionnaire of 167 questions and more than a thousand data points. To qualify, a hospital must achieve a minimum of 40 points in the overall evaluation.
In addition to performance by specialty, the ranking measures nine dimensions — Safety, People, Knowledge, Efficiency, Telemedicine, Technology, Sustainability, Patient Experience, and Prestige — which constitute the General Quality Ranking of the 105 hospitals evaluated in ten countries in the region.
