A multiple road accident was recorded on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 15, on the Bogotá-Mosquera road, involving a car, a nanny-type tractor-trailer, and two trucks.
According to reports provided by the Bogotá Mobility Secretariat, the situation caused disruptions on Centenario Avenue, known as 13th Street, with traffic stopped in both directions while emergency agencies and concession personnel attended to the situation.

Videos shared about the incident show several vehicles overturned on the corridor. Among the images is a truck that ended up on top of a white car, which shows visible damage on the top and front.

A nanny-type tractor-trailer is also seen with part of its vehicle across the divider area, while other trucks remained on the roadway. There are also body parts and pipes on the road at the scene, amid the congestion caused by the accident.
The Mobility Secretariat initially reported that the incident occurred at kilometer 0+50 of the Bogotá-Mosquera road and noted that there was heavy vehicle backup on Centenario Avenue.
Given this situation, the entity recommended using 80th Street as an alternate corridor for people needing to enter or leave Bogotá through this area.

In its second report, the Mobility Secretariat specified that emergency agencies and concession personnel were at the site to attend to the multiple accident, involving the car, the nanny-type tractor-trailer, and the two trucks that overturned.
At that time, the entity stated that traffic was “completely stopped on Av. Centenario in both directions.”

The disruption was concentrated on one of the main connection corridors between Bogotá and Mosquera, causing a buildup of vehicles in the area due to the traffic interruption.
The initial recommendation for those planning to travel through this point was to avoid the corridor and take 80th Street while incident response efforts progressed.
A spokesperson for the Mobility Secretariat provided a report from the Strategic Mobility Center and explained that the situation was related to an overturned vehicle and was affecting both those entering Bogotá and those trying to leave the city via Centenario Avenue.

“It’s 12:45 in the afternoon, we are now delivering the mobility report from the Strategic Mobility Center. There is an important situation you should know about: on the Bogotá-Mosquera road there is an overturned truck. There is disruption in both entry and exit to Bogotá via Centenario Avenue,” he detailed, emphasizing that “the concession already has its personnel on site to resolve the issue, however, we recommend that people who are going out or planning to enter the city do so via 80th Street.”
The official also reported an additional situation at another point in the city. According to him, on Las Américas Avenue, in the area known as the ‘outlets’, another truck overturned, affecting one of the lanes.
For this reason, the Secretariat asked people to take this circumstance into account when traveling through that area and “be patient if passing through this sector to allow the group and personnel on site to fully resolve the situation.”

Subsequently, the entity updated the traffic conditions in the Centenario Avenue area. It indicated that users heading west of Bogotá, specifically to areas such as Recodo, San Pablo, Puente Grande, and nearby zones, were advised to take Esperanza Avenue or 26th Street as alternative routes.
In that update, traffic conditions varied by direction. For vehicles leaving Bogotá, a controlled passage with two lanes was enabled, while for those trying to enter the city, traffic remained stopped. The entity indicated that these conditions corresponded to the ongoing response to the accident on the corridor.
For now, the reports provided by the Mobility Secretariat focus on attending to the accident and the traffic conditions caused by the vehicle overturns. Emergency agencies and concession personnel remain on site to carry out the necessary work and allow the recovery of traffic flow on this corridor between the capital and the municipality of Mosquera.
